چکیده
In this study a Dynamic Electronic Speckle Pattern Intereferometry (ESPI) method was applied to investigate deformation field of small industrial elements. In the proposed phase analysis method, the interference signal is considered in time domain and the phase was analyzed by Hilbert transform method. Two experiments were performed, with in-plane and out-of-plane sensitive systems in order to make a complete characterization of the deformation field in three dimension. First, experiments were carried out for the measurements of thermal expansion of a joint material (ceramic-copper-stainless steel). The deformation field showed clearly the difference between the thermal expansions of the stainless steel and ceramic. The thin copper layer can also be clearly distinguished in the deformation distribution. Next, experiments were performed for a scratch-drive device of MEMS. Movement of the element of the device was accurately measured while the device is operating.

Dynamic electronic speckle pattern interferometry (DESPI) phase analyses with temporal Hilbert transform.
In this study, we propose the Hilbert transform (HT) method for phase analysis of a Dynamic ESPI signal. The data processing is performed in the temporal domain, using the temporal history of the interference signal at every single pixel. The final results give a temporal development of the two-dimensional deformation field. To reduce the influence of the fluctuations of bias intensity on the c...
متن کاملDynamic ESPI system for spatio-temporal strain analysis of a deforming solid object
In Dynamic Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry (DESPI), deformation analysis could be done for successively acquired frame data of interfering speckle patterns with no additional frames like phase shifting speckle patterns. Our final goal is to obtain a temporally varying process of two-dimensional strain field. Two normal strains and shearing strain are derived by numerical derivatives o...
متن کاملDynamics of nonlinear rectangular plates subjected to an orbiting mass based on shear deformation plate theory
In this paper, transverse and longitudinal vibration of nonlinear plate under exciting of orbiting mass is considered based on first-order shear deformation theory. The nonlinear governing equation of motion are discretized by the finite element method in combination with Newmark’s time integration scheme under von Karman strain-displacement assumptions. For validation of method and formulation...
متن کاملComprehensive Electromechanical Analysis of MEMS Variable Gap Capacitors
This paper presents a comprehensive case study on electro-mechanical analysis of MEMS[1] variable capacitors. Using the fundamental mechanical and electrical equations, static and dynamic behaviors of the device are studied. The analysis is done for three different modes, namely: dc (static mode), small signal ac and large signal regime. A complete set of equations defining dynamic behavior of ...
متن کاملNonlinear and Non-stationary Vibration Analysis for Mechanical Fault Detection by Using EMD-FFT Method
The Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is a powerful method for nonlinear and non-stationary vibrations analysis. This approach consists of two basic parts of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and Hilbert spectral analysis (HSA). To achieve the reliable results, Bedrosian and Nuttall theorems should be satisfied. Otherwise, the phase and amplitude functions are mixed together and consequently, the ...
